Wake Turbulence
Fly a few hundred feet above large airplanes, a thousand feet below them, or upwind of them. Calm days, where there is no wind to break up the turbulence, are potentially the most dangerous. During takeoff, rotate before the large aircraft in front of you and stay above it’s flight path until it is possible to turn to the right or left. On landing, touchdown beyond the touchdown point of a large aircraft—“Always jump over the jets.”
