Stabilized Approaches
1000 feet before the touchdown elevation the approach should meet the following parameters:
1. On the correct flight path with only small corrections needed to maintain it
2. On speed (the AFM/POH recommended approach speed) within +10 or -5 KIAS
3. On glide slope at a descent rate of 500 fpm or less
4. In landing configuration (gear down / approach flaps down)
5. Landing checklist complete
