Shut down the engine, but leave the Master Switch on to maintain electrical power for radio, flaps, etc.

Mixture—OFF

Fuel Selector—OFF

Fuel Pump—OFF

Cabin Heat—OFF

Throttle—MAX POWER (to burn up any remaining fuel in the engine)

Descend and increase airspeed to 105 KIAS or higher to blow out flames.
