When faced with an emergency, pilots should tune in 121.5 and make the following transmission:

"Mayday, Mayday, Mayday, DiamondStar 314AF (three one four alpha foxtrot) calling any station.”

The emergency frequency is monitored by Air Traffic Control and all airliners who will be ready to offer their assistance.
