A mass of cold air will be heated from below by the ground, resulting in vertical air movement and cumulous type clouds. Pilots can expect turbulence, but with good visibility. If sufficient moisture is present, cumulonimbus clouds can develop rapidly in localized areas. Cold fronts move quickly, and pilots usually will not have to wait more than a few hours for clearer weather.
